FIC: One of the Boys

Title: One of the Boys
Author: lauraonbway
Prompt: Institutional Memory
Pairing/Character: CJ Cregg, CJ/Danny
Rating: It's hardly worth rating.  Appropriate for all audiences.
Summary: A post-ep of sorts for Institutional Memory.  CJ reflects on her time in the White House and the men who have changed her life.  Vague references to events throughout the series.
Notes: This ficlet was actually inspired by the title, which was taken from the Dolly Parton musical 9 to 5.  CJ's character has always been more complex and more difficult for me to explore, so this was fun.  I hope you enjoy it.

CJ Cregg will always be one of the boys.Collapse )

Deadline extended by a tiny bit!

Good news, everyone! I'm extending the deadline for tenyearsoftww until tomorrow night, mostly because I am going to be traveling until late tonight and thus, you know, won't be around to act in any sort of official capacity.

So, if you're scrabbling around at the last minute, relax! You have another magical twenty-four hours! And if you don't think you'll be able to get done by tomorrow night, either leave a comment here or e-mail me and I'm sure we can work something out.

Thanks, guys!

TITLE: The Poetry of the Curveball
AUTHOR: Maidenjedi
DISCLAIMER: Not mine and I'm not selling.
SPOILERS: 17 People
SUMMARY: Toby Ziegler swings for the fences. He misses, a lot.

A/N: Written for tenyearsoftww. Special thanks must go to pocky_slash and inocciduous for hosting and to my husband for beta and putting up with hours of rewatch. I wrote this about Toby, but I think I can be excused for choosing this episode just to rewatch "If you were in an accident, I wouldn't stop for red lights" about a thousand times.

Someone would complain about the noiseCollapse )

Title: A Portrait of the Speechwriter as a Young Man
Author: Renata! (I signed up as bessiemaemucho because I forgot I’m trying to use renata_kedavra for fandom stuff.)
Prompt: Dead Irish Writers
Pairing/Character: Sam/Lisa, Sam & Josh
Rating: Teen
Summary: Pre-series. Sam makes a choice about his future; Josh disapproves.
Notes: I’m like 95% sure this doesn’t contradict Sam and Josh’s established backstory, but if it does, well, fuck it.

Title: Puzzle Pieces of Us

Rating: PG-13 for a little language
Prompt: Debate Camp
Characters: CJ, Josh, Sam, Ginger, and Charlie.
Spoilers: Somebody’s Going to Emergency, Somebody’s Going to Jail.
Word Count: 631
Notes: I love that babies come with hats, and that Charlie and Sam were so eager to help out Team Toby. This is what happens when I put those two things together with (mostly) equal parts angst and humour, and fold it all into a post-ep for Debate Camp.

Why don’t you just do your job as a man and get that nice girl pregnant? I did.Collapse )
